5 Best Alpha-Gal Friendly Soaps

Wow! Having Alpha-Gal Syndrome can make even the simplest of life habits more difficult! With the wrong soap, just keeping clean can give you an itchy aggravating reaction or worse.

As a person with Alpha-Gal Syndrome I have chosen to make my life as free from mammal products as possible. This includes using vegan or Alpha-Gal friendly hand and body soaps.

Fortunately, my mammal allergy is not sensitive enough for me to have an anaphylactic reaction to skin products with mammal ingredients. However, I still end up with inflamed skin and rashes, which is enough reason to stick to Alpha-Gal safe soaps and skin products!

Here are five soap brands that I personally have used without having a reaction. I hope this helps you in your quest to keep the nasty reactions away! I am also including the Amazon links with each product just to make it simpler for you.

#1 - Everyone 3-in 1 Soap

This company produces great products for bath, body, hair, and hands.

This 3-in-1 soap really is multifunctional! I use it as a body wash and hand soap. It comes in several scents including scent-free, lavender with aloe, vanilla with lavender, cedar with citrus, citrus with mint, and coconut lemon, which is my favorite.

This company also makes body lotions with scents that coordinate with their soaps, so check it out if you want to pair your soaps with lotion!

#2 - Raw Sugar Soaps

Yes, Raw Sugar is the name of a brand. This company produces all kinds of products like bath scrubs, hand soaps, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. They make several different scents…but I always go with my favorite lemon sugar scent.

I have only personally used the body wash, but I use it for hand soap as well as body wash.

#3 - Arm & Hammer Body Wash

I think everybody’s used at least one Arm & Hammer product in their lifetime!

This company makes many Alpha-Gal friendly products. We use their laundry detergent, fabric softener sheets, hand soap, and body wash. This brand can easily be found at Walmart or Dollar General stores, and the products are very affordable. Anything that is inexpensive is a win for my Alpha-Gal budget!  You know what I mean…this allergy can get expensive quickly.

#4 - Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap

When it comes to bar soap, I have used Dr. Bronner’s without a problem. I have also tried their liquid castile soap, toothpaste, and hand sanitizer. My favorite scent is the peppermint, which leaves you a little tingly. They also have rose, citrus, lavender, tea tree, almond, etc.

#5 - Amish Farm Bar Soap

This is actually my new favorite Alpha-Gal friendly bar soap! It's simple. It smells clean but not overpoweringly so.  My mother actually heard about this soap while watching Brenda Gantt cooking videos AND I found it extra cheap at a local thrift store. Click here to order it directly from the Amish Farm Soap website.
